A frog entered the branch of a bank. The teller, whose nametag pronounced her to be Patricia Whack, asked how she could help.
“I’d like to borrow $30,000 please, Miss Whack.”
“That’s quite a large sum,” replied the teller. “Do you have any collateral?”
The frog handed over a small porcelain elephant. “I’d like to offer this as security, Miss Whack,” he replied.
“Please, call me Patty,” said Patricia. She took a closer look at the elephant and frowned. “I don’t know if this will be sufficient security for your loan. Do you have someone who would be prepared to be guarantor?”
“My father is Mick Jagger,” he replied. “I’m sure he’d support my application.”
Patty picked up the elephant. “I need to talk to my manager about this,” she said. “I’ll be back in a moment.”
Patty entered the manager’s office. “Sorry to interrupt,” she began, “but I have a frog who wants to take out a $30,000 loan. He says his father is Mick Jagger, and strangest of all, he’s offering this little elephant as security. I don’t even know what it is.”
The bank manager looked closely at the tiny elephant. “It’s a knick-knack Patty Whack, give the frog a loan. His old man’s a Rolling Stone.”
